Sicarios: Latin American Assassins was the winner of the 2011 FotoEvidence Book Award. This documentary study takes the viewer into the underworld of the  young assassin in Guatemala, where society has been savaged by a culture of murder for hire.  Javier Arcenillas comes face to face with several young assassins, the bodies they leave in their wake and the people who have to contend with the consequences.  The book is bilingual in English and Spanish and contains an interview with the photographer and a forward by Jorge Luis Font, editor in chief of El Periódico de Guatemala, the country's largest newspaper.
